Katana just released this blog post about their system for preventive maintenance in Asgard.

What? Huh?: Work orders to inspect or repair areas or assets can be scheduled regularly and well ahead of time, to hopefully catch issues before they start.

Unexpected Perk: The alarm you’ve set on your phone to alert you every five years to repaint your building exteriors can be used for other things.

Our Favorite Part: We love when our inspectors (and not our customers) are the first ones to notice which appliances aren’t functional  anymore – more preventive work orders means less ad hoc work orders.

Least Favorite Part: Takes the element of surprise out of the customer experience – guests who get to report less pest infestations and furniture failures can grow lazy.

Dramatic Reenactment: Seats at a stadium are replaced regularly, in sections, and the results are predictably undramatic.

Overall Rating Measured In MICE THAT NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO TAKE UP RESIDENCE IN YOUR FACILITY:

5/5 MICE
